Leavin' on a jet plane

I leave tomorrow morning for Boston!

My flight leaves at 6:30am (ugh) and I am getting up at 4 and the taxi should be picking me up at 5.

Cool thing is I'm already checked in (love that you can do it online!) and I got exit rows for the flights out.

I leave Grand Rapids and fly to Detroit, have a layover - we'll call it a long bathroom break and breakfast, then fly on to Boston where Melissa (maddiesmom) will be picking me up!

I'm waiting for the dryer to get done right now and then I will finish packing. My goal of getting things into 1 suitcase isnt happening so I'm going to move into 2. I *could* get it all into 1 big one but then I'd not have room to bring anything home with me! So I'll just go with 2.

I'm getting really excited and am even more so now after talking to Melissa tonight on the phone to finalize plans.

I have everything on my list crossed off, and then I just have my a.m. list of reminding me to pack the items I use in the morning and grab the camera and cell phone off the charger.

Jim graciously loaned me his digital camera for the insant gratification of pictures so I'll try and share some pictures as the week goes, plus I have my Rebel loaded up with film.

Wed. is flying and meeting Martha in CA, Sarah, and Melissa for lunch and then that night Melissa and I may go to dinner or just stay at her place, have to see.

Thursday is Salem.

Ooh, I need to remember to grab my little notepad to write down stuff daily so I can remember to blog and journal later!

Ok, I need to check the dryer and finish packing and then try and get some sleep.

Next time you hear from me I'll be in New England!

My tentative itinerary

I leave early Wednesday morning for Boston!

Plans are coming together and my list of things I want to see and do are being finalized. In no particular order here's what on the list so far:

Lunch at Kellys Roast Beef
Fanuil Square/Quincy Market
Cheers
Back Bay
New England Aquarium and whale watching
The Freedom Trail
Salem
The Marginal Way in Maine
Fishercats baseball game in New Hampshire

Oh, and mani's and pedi's on Saturday morning before the scavenger hunt in Boston using the Freedom Trail as part of the scavenger hunt.

I'm sure other things will be added as we go but I'm looking forward to a fun and busy week - and knocking 3 new states off my 50 States goal!
