For the most part I have good co workers

Everyone always has *someone* that drives them batty at work but on the whole I have pretty good co workers. Some push the buttons but I guess an argument could be made that I push their buttons.

Today for example, I ended up staying here at work till 8 tonight (2 hours and 48 minutes left...) because we are down our 2 late night peeps. The other person who is working late with me just make a late lunch run (at 5:30) and asked me if I wanted anything, I asked for a burger and coke, which tastes awesome right now I might add! How nice was that? And on top of it he knows one of the peeps that work there and got everything for a big discount.

So I guess when my co workers push my buttons I just must remember that not all of them are that way and if it gets bad I can run to Dawnn's cube and whine :D

I got Kenny Chesney Tickets!!!!!

Not that I am excited or anything .... they go on sale on Feb. 11th - coincidentally the same day I am seeing Keith Urban - and I had a chance to get tickets today through where I work. I put in my name for a drawing to purchase advanced tickets and I got drawn!

Not sure which show I am going to yet, he's doing 2 but I don't care! I'm just happy to have tickets :)

Dawnn is going with me! Yippee!

Sinseerly,

Something's Gotta Give

As stated previously, I love music and lots of songs fit my mood at the moment, a time in my life, etc. I've decided this is my theme song for at least the first quarter of 2006 :)

Something's Gotta Give - performed by LeeAnn Rimes.
Jenny's got a job, a cat named Jake,
31 candles on her birthday cake
Next year

Thought by now she'd have a man
Two car seats and a minivan
But it still ain't here (hey!)

She's been lookin' for Mr. Right so long
But all she's found is Mr. Wrong
That's the pitts

She's drawn a line that she won't cross
Her and time are facing off
She says something's gotta give

Chorus
Something's gotta give me butterflies
Something's gotta make me feel alive
Something's gotta give me dreams at night
Something's gotta make me feel alright
I don't know where it is
But something's gotta give

Friday night she had a date
Cell phone junky a half hour late
That's the biz baby

She's riding out the twists of fate
She's had all that she can take
She says something's gotta give

(repeat chorus)

I swear
There's got to be a meant to be for me out there
Somewhere someday
I'm gonna find someone, somehow, someway

Jenny's got a job, a cat named Jake,
31 candles on her birthday cake
Next year

She thought by now she'd have a man
Two car seats and a minivan
She says something's got,
Something's got,

Yes, another coffee post

I will go with this ... I love Starbucks as mentioned before and love, love, love my Frappacino's! =)

You Are a Frappacino

At your best, you are: fun loving, sweet, and modern

At your worst, you are: childish and over indulgent

You drink coffee when: you're craving something sweet

Your caffeine addiction level: low

What celebrity do you resemble?

CASEd from Empress4

She found this on My Heritage

I used this photo of me:

And got these results:

Olivia Newton-John

I also got results for:
Meg Ryan, Ninet Layeb, and Courtney Cox

This could explain why Grease if one of my favorite movies and I used to want to be "Sandy" when I was a little girl =) What do ya think?

Someone Else's Dream

I'm a big fan of music, and alot of times can relate songs to different points during my life, or mood(s) that I am in.

I have always like Faith Hill and this song she did, "Someone Else's Dream" has always been a favorite ... even though for quite some time I was singing it wrong ... thanks Heidi for correcting me *wink* but this really hits home for me and it's kind of my theme song for the year.
If you haven't heard it, I recommend listening to it, it's a good song.

"Someone Else's Dream"

Her momma's still got that sequin gown that she wore in '68
She taught her early how to smile that smile and wave from the parade
It took a whole lot of years and tears
For her momma to finally admit
No matter how many stitches and pins
That old dress was never gonna fit

She was daddy's little girl
Momma's little angel
Teacher's pet, pageant queen
She said "All my life I've been pleasin' everyone but me,
Waking up in someone else's dream"

Her daddy used to say, "You'll make a lovely bride someday
He'll ride up on big white horse and just carry you away"
It took twenty-five years and some broken vows
Before they'd finally see
There's a little more to love and life
Then fairy tales and hand me down dreams

She was daddy's little girl
Momma's little angel
Teacher's pet, pageant queen
She said "All my life I've been pleasin' everyone but me,
Waking up in someone else's dream"

Now she's got twenty-seven candles on her cake
And she means to make her life her own
Before there's twenty-eight

She was daddy's little girl
Momma's little angel
Teacher's pet, pageant queen
She said "All my life I've been pleasin' everyone but me,
Waking up in someone else's dream"

Yet more stuff about me

A little more about me
CASEd from Heidi and Dawnn

1. Where were you when the ball dropped for 2006?
At Dawnn's house ... yeah it was one heck of a party! Kissing everyone and taking photos.

2. How did you get the idea for your profile name?
I am a Creative Memories Consultant (CMC for short) and my old boss Mickey nicknamed me Emmylou and it just stuck as a nickname that was all he called me or he'd shorten it to Emmy. Everyone at the office started calling me by that, I even had clients that thought my name was Emmylou :) I still answer to it and he still calls me it when we chat online as we have remained friends even though I moved away and no longer work for him. So when it came time to make a name for ScrapShare I thought of Emmylou and just tacked CMC in front of it. Voila!

3. What time were you born?
6:57pm after over 28 hours of labor. I was 3 weeks overdue and 9 pounds at birth and the Dr. underestimated my weight and my mom was maybe 125 soaking wet and pregnant with me! He thought she would be able to deliver me without intervention and so he left her and let her labor until it got to the point that I was in danger and Mom was fading fast so they did an emergency C section to save us both.

17. Did you dream last night?
Yes, crazy ones ... another one about being pregnant and I was upset because I was late for my baby shower and all the guests knew if I was having a girl or boy and I didn't one of my co workers wouldn't drive me to my shower because he didn't want to be around girls and I kept telling him I was not going to not go because I need to know if I am having a girl or boy and he just has to drop me off outside the house.
Not sure of outcome of that, next one switched to me being at Coldstone Creamery in line for cake batter ice cream and kissing a very cute guy.
I think there were other dreams but I don't remember them.

18. What was the last TV show you watched?
ER rerun last night.

19. What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
My emerald necklace my grandma gave me for my high school graduation. My grandpa bought it for me when I was little and was holding onto it to give to me when I turned 18, but he passed away when I was 9 so my grandmother kept it and saved it for my high school graduation.

What type of Weather are you?

I think this has some truth to it ....

You Are Sunshine

Soothing and calm

You are best known for: your warmth

Your dominant state: connecting

Updated Employee Handbook

I've seen this before but it still makes me giggle. Does this sound like your place of work? =)

UPDATED EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK

DRESS CODE
Please be advised that you are to report to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing $350 Prada sneakers and carrying a $600 Gucci Bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore you do not need a raise. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better
so that you may buy nicer clothes; therefore you do not need a raise. If you dress in-between, you are right where you need to be and obviously do not need a raise.

SICK DAYS
We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

PERSONAL DAYS
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

BEREAVEMENT LEAVE
This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

RESTROOM USE
Entirely too much time is being spent in the restroom. There is now a strict 3 minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open and a picture will be taken. After your second offense, your picture will be posted on the
company bulletin board under the "Chronic Offenders" category.

LUNCH BREAK
Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure. Fat people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim Fast.

Thank you for your loyalty to our company. We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplations, consternation, and input should be directed elsewhere.

Have a nice week!

What superhero are you?

CASE'd from Dawnn
Thanks *wink*

I am:

Batman!
Cool, calm and powerful. Whilst your actual super abilities may not be anything too dazzling, you have earnt the respect of both friends and enemies in response to your amazing fighting skills, strategic combat and experience. Luckily you have access to the greens which can fund all your majorly cool gadgets, vehicles and weapons! Also, you're reluctant but still accepting to the idea of having a teammate/side-kick, which just makes everything a whole lotta fun, doesn't it now! On the down side, you've probably suffered some sort of trauma at a young age (that's why we don't talk to the old man near the swings, kids). Similar to the Wolverine, your past is a base for your current motivation, undertaking some kind of personal vow in search of justice. All in all though, you're one tough nut. There's not a lot of people who have the minerals to go up against you, and you're experienced enough not to get cocky and let the little things like never finding happiness get you down!

Take the quiz yourself here: clicky

Ain't no stoppin me now ...

I don't know what my problem was but I could not figure out how to make links on my blogs ... Empress4 and Agent713 can testify to this ... I was having a heck of a time doing it.

Finally tonight I decided this is it ... I'm not getting up until I get this. In preparation for that I brought a sweater, snacks and a cherry coke.

10 minutes later I have links ... amazing what determination will do to you!

Now I'm off to find more things to link =)

Froggy ... who's next?

Thanks Empress :) Who's next?

*Grrrrrrr*

Today at work I have project time, which is a full 8 hour day, or more if I stay late, of time to get caught up on my projects I have going. I've been on a huge, ongoing project for the Knowledgebase and web self-service project so some of my other projects have been bumped down the ladder of priority.
I had all my plans laid out last night before I left of what I wanted to do and came in this morning energized (well as much as I can be for 8:30 in the morning ...) and ready to get to work.

I get logged in, go to bring up our existing knowledgebase that could .... and the server is down! My whole morning and most of my afternoon was built around this, updating articles, publishing new articles and doing major housekeeping because some people have issue with certain numbers of articles because of connotations with those numbers ... I thought we were all adults but that is a separate vent.

So instead my whole day is shot to you-know-where and I am having to work on other things ... most of which are still built around the knowledge base taht I cannot access! I've done some work on smaller tasks I have, finished a couple of them, did extensive testing for a new release coming out next month and have one big project to do but I need to pull some stuff from the knowledgebase that is STILL DOWN.

I just want to go home and start other again. Plus tomorrow and Friday I have meetings off and on most of the day so I won't be productive and was counting on today to get my stuff done. I'm so annoyed right now.

I need to go and find new cheese since my cheese got moved due to servers being down, but I am more content to sit and whine for a bit ... thanks for listening =)

Weekend in review, thus far

I've had a pretty uneventful weekend thus far. Friday afternoon at work I was in a meeting across the street that went till after 5:30 so I came back over to my building and worked till 8 to get some things done for a deadline for the meeting ... and hopefully will get the rest done Monday morning.

Saturday I went and ran a few errands and saw Brokeback Mountain with Paul and Donna ... or as Paul calls the movie, the gay cowboy love story movie. I thought it was a good movie. You leave it feeling kind of sad, I didn't cry or anything but I felt a little down. It has a good storyline and keeps going and isn't too slow or dragging but it's definitely not a feel good movie. The acting was really good so I can see why it is already winning awards and the scenery and the mountains were beautiful. I am glad I saw it, I just can't see it as a movie I own and that I would watch alot. If you are thinking about seeing it, I say go for it. I felt my money was well spent.

Sunday so far I have gone to tan. I was feeling a little winter blah so I decided to lay under some UV lamps and try and perk up a bit ... plus never to early to start thinking about summer =) and did some laundry and have been on here since. I need to get off the computer and do some major photo sorting. I'm waiting for the Seattle Seahawks playoff game to start soon ... I don't like football but if they win this game they go the Super Bowl so I am kinda excited even though I don't really understand the game *lol* I plan to take my 2 Power Sort boxes and 2 Mini Power Sort boxes and photos yet to be sorted and do some serious work on that. I have decided to organize them in their compartments by projects to keep it easier. I have about a half dozen album projects started, ongoing, or still in my mind. My plan is to do that tonight.

Nothing really exciting so I will post again later!
Take care ya'll.
